About Renata
Driven, creative and passionate, Renata Sankar believes that this world is better when we spend it together. A huge supporter of family and authentic emotional connections, Renata has worked hard at personal improvement in order to enjoy life to the fullest. A professional with a double major in Sports Management and Management Studies, and a Masters in Sports Management, Renata has always had an eye for detail. Not many are able to slow down and refocus the way that she does, and it shows in how she brings visions to life. For her, the many parts of an idea are just puzzle pieces that she can solve by making it all whole; her viewpoint is unlike any other, and her ability to utilise this skillset is unmatched.
Of course, this did not happen overnight. Renata worked many long hours throughout the years to hone her skills and experience. After this, she soon realised that her purpose was still not being truly met, and as it happened, she had to experience heartbreak and make some tough decisions to become who she is today. After the end of her marriage, she was forced to recognise that she had inadvertently lost sight of some of the important people in her life: her family. The support she received from her family allowed her to grow and blossom and gave her the energy to re-start her life. This support made her realise what was truly important and she made the tough decision to walk away from her fulltime job. Working 24/7 was no longer beneficial to her and she wanted her freedom. Her freedom to achieve her goals, her freedom to spend her time with the ones she loved, and this freedom bore fruit in the form of her event production company, Renata A. Sankar Production.

Renata A. Sankar Production, born in 2019 became the flagship company through which Renata could create experiences for others that would encourage emotional connections. She wanted others to share in non-traditional family experiences in Trinidad and Tobago, as well as recognise how family can be a source of support and love; something that she felt when she was at her lowest. Even though Renata is known to not shy away from other types of productions, family-focused experiences are at the centre of the company. The goals of the Renata A. Sankar Production company are to provide alternative and unique family events that are fun and memorable. With over fifteen years’ experience in the event industry, Renata has managed events from award ceremonies, black-tie galas, press conferences, exhibitions and graduations (just to name a few).
